I think most people, especially at a young age, have a mental picture of themselves five or ten years down the road; a mental picture of who they want to be, and what lives they want to lead. These aspirations consequently cause you to work hard and push forward to reach your dreams, but there is always going to be someone a little bit more talented than you; just one step ahead. It's life. It's reality.

I balance school, work, my sorority, and trying to keep a social life because I definitely think getting out there and having fun is a big part of the whole college experience. Most times I'm pretty successful and having the time of my life but, sometimes I feel like I'm barley keeping my head above water. Then I'll see a girl my age doing all those same things and more. She's in more extra curricular activities, makes better grades, and even gets out more! Maybe she sometimes feels the drowning feeling too, but that's not the image I take away with me. I remember how she seems to have it all together. She's on the top of her game. I start to, "wonder how many of her there really are."

In this commercial Sprint profits from this same type of scenario that manifests in many people's lives. Life is busy but some people tend to get more done than others. True. Exaggerated though? Sprint takes this problem of competition and keeping up with Jones' and defines it and then, solves it. Sprint names these people multi-taskers, and even alludes that the Palm Centro is what gets them there. It is that difference that stands between you and them.

I think here Hainault and Roy would see that race between you and the Jones' as, "the hole, the void," because someone is constantly beating you in the game of life. You never catch up. Sprint takes this void in life and "seals it." Sprint seals it with the Palm Centro. It reveals multi-tasker's secret. Their secret is that they can do multiple things at once with the Palm Centro.

The commercial ends with letting you know that Sprint is the, "fastest national mobile broad band network." If Sprint is the fastest why go anywhere else? It's almost implying you can't be one of those that get more done than others unless you have the fastest.
