Feet Don't Touch The Ground Lyrics (Stoney Larue)
I remember when I met you, big city boy small town blues
This town seems so small to me well I was used to the blvd
When I saw you I fell so hard now I never want to leave
Girl I’m here forever
Chorus:
We got moon light, all night
Lord I pray on the next star I see tonight never lose this thing we found
Your by my side, I can do without the city lights
I fly so high when you’re around yeah my feet don’t touch the ground
Things I’ve done the places I’ve been just don’t compare to the love I’m in
Its beats all I’ve ever seen
If youd’ve told me a few years back that I’d still be living in the place I’m at
Oh I’d say you’re living in a dream,
Girl I’m here forever
It's hard to directly pinpoint why you like a certain song; at least to others. That’s part of what makes music music. But as Ulmer would say on some level I must relate. This song has obvious lyrics about love that I'm sure many people can relate to. I particularly like the part, "I fly so high when you're around that my feet don't touch the ground," because that's exactly the feeling you get when you first fall someone. They manage for a split second to erase all you worries and make everything perfect; almost suspended in time. This song just take you there. It takes you that place where there aren't city light. Whether it's on a ranch, out in the wilderness, on a lake, or by the river. It probably takes everyone to different place. It's incredibly relaxing. Obviously this mood and feeling wouldn't come across if it was a heavy rock song. The fact that it's slow and country brings that atmosphere of dark night with "moon light", and "living in a dream." I can't seem to find an embedded link to allow the song to play on my page, but I'm still looking.
