Since my Family Discourse page is about a family memory, for Memory Glimpse I want to use the earliest friendship memory I can recall. It goes back to kindergarten when all my friends consisted of the girls in my Girl Scout troop. We were together as Daisies(Girl Scouts ages 5-6) and then into Brownies (Girl Scouts ages 6-8). We also all went to a private school together, the name of which I can't recall. I just remember "the lunch table."

Whether we were snacking in a girl scout meeting, in school, or on a field trip. It was always all of our favorite parts of the day. We would talk about how much we hated piano lessons, trade food, and whisper about Stewart, a boy I think its safe to say we all had a crush on. Couldn't forget though, he definitely had "coodies." The atmosphere was pretty much that of any kindergartener's. The only things on our minds were recess, whose house we were going to spend the night at next, and when our next girl scout trip was. In the photo above is Lindsey Fondren, Alex Colyer, Isabelle Kusters, and me.

Yes, that would be me in the big, goofy hat! Lindsey is proudly in her Brownie attire, and Isabelle is next to her in the overalls. Stewarts is in the purple tie dye! That's truly as far back as I can remember. It was a brief moment of pure fun.
